Norway - TIX - Fallen Angel

Both versions have the same digital release image.

TIX is the winner of the 2021 Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix. His song the Fallen Angel will represent Norway in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. TIX wrote the song himself with English lyrics by Emelie Hollow. 

TIX (Andreas Haukeland) was already allocated a place in the final and when he first introduced the song (in the semi 1 broadcast) it was performed in Norwegian as Ut Av Mørket (Out of the dark). TIX wrote the lyrics to the Norwegian version himself.
Ut Av Mørket was released on January 15, Fallen Angel was released on February 20. Both songs are available to stream and buy digitally.

2022: On the night of the first semi-final it was revealed that our TIX is the DJ?Astronaut in the golden suit in Subwoolfer, the Norwegian act for the Turin Songcontest.

Norway's Melodi Grand Prix had 6 nights of songs to select their 60th* Eurovision entry. With the final on Februari 20.
The selection was a mix of invited artists who already had a place in the final and 4 songs each week battling it out for the other final spots. 

2019 Eurovision stars KEiiNO finished second with Monument.
Another familiar name was Ketil Stokkan who gave us Romeo in 1986 (12th place) and Brandenburger Tor in 1990 (21st).
All participating songs are released through the usual digital platforms.

2020 MGP winner Ulrikke Brandstorp declined a spot in the 2021 MGP.

Croatia - Albina - Tick-Tock

The Croatian entry for 2021 is Tick-Tock by Albina. Albina won the 2021 edition of DORA with a song written by Branimir Mihaljević, Max Cinnamon and Tihana Buklijaš Bakić. The song was performed in English with some lines in Croatian.

A new video known as the Open Up version was revealed on March 11. This is the version with a part in Croatian (a,k,a, the DORA version) as it will be performed in Rotterdam. It's here

A digital EP with four versions was released on February 13 through most digital platforms. (linktree) (see versions below) 
A remix by Stefy de Cicco was released on May 7 as a digital single track.
A longer version of that remix can be found on the digital VA album EDM Party mix 2021 which was released in April (Universal).

For promotion in Rotterdam the DORA 2021 CD was used in a special sleeve with Albina on the front.


Albina Grčić is signed with Universal Music Croatia and she released her first single Imuna Na Strah (Immune to fear) in 2020.

DORA 2021
What's that sound? The sound of breaking hearts when it became clear that Croatian 2020 singer Damir Kedžo wasn't returning to complete his Eurovision mission. 
HRT organised a new preselection (DORA) and it was  held on Februari 13.
2016 singer Nina Kraljić (Lighthouse, 23rd) opened the show (and finished 2nd) and 1994 singer Toni Cetinski (Nek Ti Bude Ljubav Sva, 16th place) closed with a duet with Kiki Rahimovski and finished 8th.

The album with all entries was released on February 17. (Croatia Records 6106158)
